Mark and drill mounting holes using the supplied hanging bolts/screws as a template.
  • 2
Secure wall-mount brackets or floor stand firmly before hanging or placing the unit.
  • 3
Confirm the unit is level and firmly seated before connecting any cables, and leave clear space around ventilation openings and the front panel for servicing access.

10. Wiring Instructions

10.1 General Wiring Rules

Always connect Positive (+) to Positive (+) and Negative (−) to Negative (−) — never reverse polarity. Tighten all terminal connections to the manufacturer's recommended torque value, use correctly sized cable for the expected current draw, and install a suitable DC breaker or fuse between the battery and the inverter/load.

10.2 Safe Connection Procedure

  • 1
Wear insulated safety gloves; wrap cable ends with insulating tape to prevent accidental short circuits.
  • 2
Unscrew the positive terminal cover, connect the positive wire, and refit the protective cover.
  • 3
Unscrew the negative terminal cover, connect the negative wire, and refit the protective cover.
  • 4
At the inverter end, connect the positive wire, then the negative wire, and refit the inverter's terminal covers.
  • 5
Turn ON the battery's main air switch, then press and activate the battery's power switch.
  • 6
Wait at least one minute, then power on the inverter.
Warning: Never connect or disconnect power cables while the battery switch or inverter is energised. Always de-energise the circuit first.

11. Charging Guidelines

  • Use a LiFePO₄-compatible charger or inverter charge profile only — never a Lead-Acid profile.
  • Recommended method: Constant Current – Constant Voltage (CC-CV); do not exceed the maximum charge current for your model (see Section 5).
  • Charge only within 0°C to 55°C ambient/cell temperature; stop immediately if abnormal heating, swelling, or odour is detected and contact support.

12. Discharging Guidelines

  • Avoid continuous overload beyond the rated maximum discharge current, and never short-circuit the output terminals.
  • Recharge the battery promptly once SOC becomes low, to avoid deep-discharge sleep mode.

13. Battery Monitoring Overview

Electronium batteries can be monitored through multiple channels simultaneously: the Electronium Link app via Bluetooth (local) or Wi-Fi (remote, optional module), the on-unit LCD touch screen (selected models), inverter display/communication (CAN or RS485), and CAN/RS485 bus integration with upper computer or building-management systems.

14. LCD Touch & Smart Screen Display Guide

On models with the Electronium LCD touch/smart screen, a backup-powered display motherboard shows the pack's sampled data and working status in real time, even when networked monitoring is unavailable.

14.1 Home Page

Divided into three regions: system status area (voltage, current, SOC, temperature, capacity, charge/discharge state), slave-machine status area (per-pack SOC/voltage/current/address for parallel systems), and message notification area (active alarms, protections, faults).

14.2 System Status Area

Temperature (average across all online packs), current (total), voltage (average), cycle count (average), status (Discharging / Charging / Idle / Not Connected), and capacity (remaining and full, with SOC%).

14.3 Parallel / Multi-Pack Page

Per selected address: alarm/protection/fault info, individual cell voltages, a general overview (total voltage, current, SOC, SOH, capacity), pack temperature readings, and address-switching to view any pack in the bank.

14.4 Setup Page

Configures display language, date/time, screen brightness and sleep/hibernation timing, inverter communication protocol selection (CAN and/or RS485), beep/notification sound, and firmware/hardware version info.

15. Mobile App / Smart BMS Configuration

The JK BMS mobile app pairs with the battery over Bluetooth (or Wi-Fi with the optional module) to display live pack data and, for qualified installers, configure protection thresholds and communication settings. This includes advanced recovery options such as "Force Enter" mode, used when retrying an interrupted firmware upgrade (see Troubleshooting).

Note: Only qualified personnel should modify BMS protection parameters — incorrect settings can compromise the safety protections described in Section 7.

16. LED Indicator Definitions

Models without an LCD screen provide status feedback via 6 LEDs: four green SOC/capacity indicators (SOC1–SOC4), one red alarm indicator (ALM), and one green running indicator (RUN). During charging, LEDs illuminate progressively from SOC1 upward with the topmost LED blinking; during discharging, they illuminate steadily from SOC1 upward and extinguish as capacity is consumed.

17. Parallel Connection

17.1 Rules for Parallel Connection

  • Use identical battery models only — same capacity, voltage, and firmware version — and bring all batteries to the same SOC before connecting.
  • Never connect batteries' positive/negative terminals directly to each other — always use a busbar or main power line, with consistent cable lengths to the busbar.
  • Up to 16 Electronium batteries can be connected in parallel (model-dependent).

17.2 Wiring Overview

Batteries link pack-to-pack via the dedicated RS485 parallel communication port (not the inverter CAN/RS485 port), forming a daisy chain from the host (Pack 0) through each slave pack. The host then communicates with the inverter over CAN or RS485, summarizing data from every slave pack in the chain.

17.3 Address (DIP Switch) Configuration

Each battery is assigned a unique address via internal DIP switches #1–#4 (binary); #5–#6 select the inverter communication protocol on the host unit only. Address 0 is always the host; all others are slaves (address 1 = ON/OFF/OFF/OFF, address 2 = OFF/ON/OFF/OFF, and so on up to address 15 = ON/ON/ON/ON).

Note: DIP switches #5 and #6 are read only on the host (Pack 0). On slave packs, #5 and #6 must remain OFF.

18. Series Connection

Approved models only: only battery models explicitly approved by Electronium for series operation should be connected in series — incorrect connection, or combining non-approved models, may cause permanent damage and voids the warranty.
  • Use identical battery models and firmware versions, and ensure all batteries are at equal SOC before connecting in series.
  • Contact Electronium technical support before attempting a series configuration.

19. Solar System Integration

Electronium LiFePO₄ batteries integrate with hybrid solar inverters, off-grid solar inverters, UPS systems, and solar charge controllers (via compatible inverter/controller communication) — using CAN or RS485 depending on the inverter brand (see Section 20). Always configure the inverter's battery-communication protocol to match the battery's specifications before first use.

19.1 Typical Household Configuration

In a typical residential setup, solar panels feed a hybrid inverter, which manages charging of the Electronium battery bank and supplies household loads. When solar generation is insufficient, the inverter draws from the battery bank or, if configured, the utility grid — keeping essential loads such as lighting, refrigeration, and communication equipment running during outages or load-shedding.

20. Inverter Compatibility

Electronium batteries support communication with a wide range of inverter brands through CAN and/or RS485. Always verify compatibility with your specific inverter model/firmware and select the matching protocol in the battery's communication settings before first use.

21. Sleep and Wake Modes

21.1 Entering Sleep Mode

Triggered when under-voltage protection remains unreleased for 15 minutes, the power button is pressed and held for 3–6 seconds, minimum cell voltage stays below the sleep threshold for the configured delay (entering standby sleep after a further 24-hour delay with no active communication/protection/balancing/current), or a forced shutdown command is issued via monitoring software.

Note: Before entering sleep mode, ensure the input terminal is not connected to any external voltage source, or the battery will not be able to enter low-power mode.

21.2 Waking the Battery

The system exits sleep/low-power mode when a charger is connected with output voltage exceeding the model's wake-up threshold (e.g. greater than 48V on 51.2V-class models), or the power button is pressed and held for 3–6 seconds.

22. Maintenance

22.1 Monthly Inspection Checklist

  • Check that all terminal connections remain tight and corrosion-free, and inspect wiring for wear, chafing, or heat damage.
  • Clean dust from ventilation openings and the casing exterior, and verify pack voltage/cell balance via the app or LCD display.
  • Verify operating temperature is within range, and check the Smart BMS status for any historical alarms.

No water topping or electrolyte maintenance is required at any time — Electronium LiFePO₄ batteries are maintenance-free by design.

23. Storage

  • Store at 20%–60% SOC for any period of non-use, in a dry location protected from direct sunlight (25°C ± 3°C, 45%–85% relative humidity recommended).
  • Recharge at least once every 3 months, and perform one complete charge/discharge cycle every 6 months during long-term storage.

24. Transportation

  • Transport in the original packaging (including any wooden crate) whenever possible; avoid impact, vibration, and dropping.
  • Confirm the battery is fully disconnected before transport, with no charge/discharge current flowing, and secure high/low-voltage wiring harnesses.
  • Prohibit rolling, inverting, excessive stacking, or crushing of the packaging; if a unit is dropped or exposed to water, isolate it and have it inspected before use.
